My day-to-day: On one side, I ensure the smooth functioning of the business while supervising human resources and finances. On the other, I do business development and keep a certain control over the successful rollout of special events. I make sure, on a daily basis that everyone involved including the in-house team, the specialized freelance technicians and our clients are happy and satisfied. It’s very important to me to help everyone achieve joy and satisfaction in the work place.
My career path: I started working with Pro-Spec in 2011. During that time, we were only two, Alain and I. This made it so that I quickly gained experience in every department. I started at the bottom of the ladder and because of it I learned a lot about the functioning of the entire business. During the years, Pro-Spec had an unexpected but highly welcomed expansion. Little by little, we recruited people in-house to satisfy our growing clientele and to ensure that we could deliver any event that was offered to us. During that time, I stood out in the managing and logistics aspects of various projects. In 2016, I became operations director and in 2018, president. Alain was able to accompany me throughout this journey and guide me in this evolution, and for this I’ll be forever grateful.
My ambitions: I want to bring Pro-Spec to a new level and continue unearthing new contracts and take on the challenges that we’ll surely face. I want to continue developing collaborations that we already have with clients, whether here or on an international level. I have a thirst for knowledge and a constant need to reach new goals, and I don’t want that to change. I would also like to be able to continue promoting the underrated and undervalued work of scene technicians. It’s a field that is often in the shadows but without which most shows wouldn’t be able to see the light of day. Finally, I hope that Pro-Spec continues its growth and that I can go grow with it too.
Fun fact: I can recite all the lines from It Takes Two, I’m a HUGE fan of Jay-Z and I NEVER EVER say no to a glass of white wine.
